  • DEENA FERRY

With nearly 30 years of vision therapy experience, Deena is the seasoned veteran of our TEAM.  She has trained extensively with Dr. Murray and has attended many educational classes over the years.  She has helped extensively  in not only training patients, but sharing her expertise in training our other therapists.  One of the reasons our therapists are so good is they get to work with Deena.  Deena has an infectious personality with a quick wit, and is lovingly known as the “Vision Torture Master,” as she makes patients work hard but they have fun doing it!

Deena has been happily married for over 25 years to her sweetheart Brian, and together they have raised 3 wonderful children.  In recent years they have added Bailey to the family, a black lab rescue dog who works along side of Brian in rescue work.  As empty nesters now, Brian and Deena love to travel and just have fun together!  Deena has an incredible sweet heart to help people and has helped 100’s of children and adults over the years improve their lives!  She is an invaluable member of our Lighthouse Optometric Vision Performance TEAM!

  • SHIRLEY NADEAU

Shirley has been a vision therapist now for over 10 years with the last 8 years being with Lighthouse Optometric Vision Performance Center.  Shirley grew up in Santa Clara and is a graduate of San Jose State University with a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling.   This education and experience in counseling combined with her calm mild mannered personality has made Shirley a very effective therapist.

Shirley is married with 3 daughters, two of which experienced learning difficulties in elementary school and both greatly improved with vision therapy training.  This is what prompted Shirley to get involved in the area and gives her the unique perspective of experiencing vision therapy both as a therapist and a Mom!  Because of her compassionate personality and personal belief, Shirley has enjoyed working with patients of all ages and has had great success in helping many achieve their goals!  Shirley is a valuable part of our family at Lighthouse Optometric Vision Performance Center.

Testimonials

Reviews From Our Satisfied Patients

  • ""Our 9-year old son completed vision therapy with great results. The therapy coincided with going on no sugar/no gluten/no dairy diet. Both interventions had a major impact on our son’s behavior: he is calmer and has a much easier time concentrating. It had always been a struggle for him to read. With these interventions, he just started to pick up books on his own. He reads without anyone nagging him and he loves the experience. Wow.”"
    Stefaniya B.
  • ""Tyler can finally see! We had no idea how life changing vision therapy would be. The more success he had and his confidence soared! Thank you Dr. Murray and Deena!""
    Robyn - Tyler's Mother
  • "Our daughter did the at home light therapy. We saw a huge difference in her pretty quickly. She became more confident and her reading improved as well. After completing the therapy she had no problem reading to her entire class in fact she asked to all the time.

It was also very easy therapy done at home and together!"

  • "Before I started, I was having a really hard time reading, often skipping words and experiencing double vision. Now I feel really good about reading. I feel better about myself. I even ask to read in front of my class!"
