Hi Dr. Murray, My Mom mentioned she just had an appointment with you today and filled you in on what I’ve been up to since I saw you a few months ago.
I’m not sure if I ever really told you how big an impact your vision therapy has made on my life. I first saw you when I was a sophomore in college, and at that point it had been about two years since I’d started experiencing eye fatigue when reading and studying. I was a good student my whole life until around the time I started college. I enjoyed reading and I was good at it. I scored 99th percentile in reading comprehension on the SATs when I was 17 years old, but by the time I was 19 I avoided reading as much as possible because of how difficult it had become.
After 3-4 months of practicing my visual skills through your vision therapy program, my ability to read quickly and focus for long periods of time had completely returned. That year I made the choice to add pre-med studies to my business major to so that I could go to medical school. I was again confident that I could succeed in academics and knew that I could pursue my dream which would require many hours of studying almost every day in medical school. I’m currently enrolled in a one-year science program at Temple University School of Medicine and have been accepted to start medical school here next fall. You are one of a handful of people that I wouldn’t have been able to get to this point without, so thank you.
I hope you’re doing well and I’ll see you next summer when I’m back in California.
Our daughter did the at home light therapy. We saw a huge difference in her pretty quickly. She became more confident and her reading improved as well. After completing the therapy she had no problem reading to her entire class in fact she asked to all the time.
It was also very easy therapy done at home and together!
Vision Therapy has helped Luqman a lot! When we started, homework especially anything with comprehension was almost impossible. Today he will try his best to work on his homework on his own and present them to me for checking. He has also started to read with comprehension, too. Reading was something he stopped being interested in a few years ago. Vision Therapy is helping him to start reading with interest. Thank You LOVPC!
What I thing about vision therapy is that it helps me remember things faster. It took me one year to succeed with the therapy. the main thing I needed to work on was the comprehension and not
slouching. My favorite part was when I did the card games. I don't like the work as much, but it really helped me. So Thank you Mother, Dr. Murray, and Mr. Ryan, and above all, Thank you God!
"I love going to vision therapy. My favorite therapist is Mr. Ryan. I enjoy working with him because hi is kind, helpful and friendly. Thank you for helping me control my eyes."
We where referred to Dr. Murray's office by Katelyn's 1st grade teacher. She had a vision problem and was struggling with reading in school. She would lose her place or leave out words. We found out that she had trouble with tracking and focusing which made it almost impossible to read, learn, and remain on task. We started vision therapy and now we are seeing great results. She now as normal vision and her lazy eye has been corrected without the need of surgery. We are thankful to Dr. Murray and his vision therapy staff.
Dr. Murray: Richard came to us to improve his vision and the comfort of his eyes. He came in with no ability to use the two eyes together resulting in eyestrain, fatigue and no real depth perception as well as some headaches. Post therapy Richard is now able to use both eyes together and is experiencing depth perception and improved comfort and clarity of his vision. Here is what he has to say about vision therapy at Lighthouse Optometric Vision Performance Center:
"I just want to thank LOVPC for helping me in my vision problems. I can now use both of my eyes together. I also noticed that the eyestrain and tiredness in my eyes have decreased. I appreciate Dr. Murray in his guidance and I have to give extra special thanks to Deena for all of the encouragement and for making me do all of the exercises. I highly recommend this place!" When I began my neurocognitive vision training, I suffered from severe headaches and had to wear 5 prism diopters in each eye. I worked with Deena and Dr. Hsia for two 24-week sessions and am so pleased with my amazing progress! My headaches are gone now and I regularly use glasses with no prism! The training was easy to follow and I have many activities I can do myself at home to continue my progress. I highly recommend Dr. Murray and his whole team! Thank you!
Before I started, I was having a really hard time reading, often skipping words and experiencing double vision. Now I feel really good about reading. I feel better about myself. I even ask to read in front of my class!

These signals direct the eyes movements and, thus, control their ability to focus. When you are stressed, your brain goes through a number of changes and signals ...

""Our 9-year old son completed vision therapy with great results. The therapy coincided with going on no sugar/no gluten/no dairy diet. Both interventions had a major impact on our son’s behavior: he is calmer and has a much easier time concentrating. It had always been a struggle for him to read. With these interventions, he just started to pick up books on his own. He reads without anyone nagging him and he loves the experience. Wow.”"
""Tyler can finally see! We had no idea how life changing vision therapy would be. The more success he had and his confidence soared! Thank you Dr. Murray and Deena!""
